1.) Joseph Carter was born ~1728 and lived in Turnbull Section of Bladen County, NC , now called Cumberland County. He died in 1751
2.) Jesse Carter Married a woman with the last name Brambley(sp?) and both died ~1811.
3.) John Carter married Mary Tomme(sp?) Jan. 4, 1802. He was born~1770 and died in the 1850's
4.) John Carter, Jr was married to Charlotte Averitte ~1843.
5.) Alexander Carter was born in 1853 and was married twice. 1st to Susan Wheeler Feb. 3, 1876 and Lula Everett in 1896.His home and store was moved and is now exhibited at the Fayetteville, NC Botanical Garden.
6.) Lonnie Cleveland Carter was the result of Alexander's 1st wife. He was born Sept. 1, 1895 in Fayetteville, NC. He married Mary Janie Hubbard in 1916 in Stedman, NC. He died March 17, 1969
7.) Robert Keen Carter born in Stedman Oct. 24, 1919 (Flea Hill District) He married Pauline LeClaire in Danielson, Ct in 1948
