I have always been interested in my family history. The announcement of my first grandchild coincided with the genealogy internet craze. The first death certificate I ordered was for my grandfather. As my dad and I read every word on it I realized that I wanted to know everything about those who came before me. With the help of the films available at my local family history center, sites such as rootsweb and ancestry, and especially, others who have been willing to share, I feel that I have made progress.
